Mourinho: Competition in the Premier League Most difficult - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes the Premier League is becoming more competitive since he left Stamford Bridge in September 2007.
Portuguese coach's 50-year-old deal with the Blues again for the second time, starting this season. He was impressed with increasingly intense competition in the league right now.
Mourinho said there are at least six teams competing for the title in recent years, namely Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool.
"In a matter of quality, I think it's [Premier League] is not the best. I think in terms of quality we will work to reach this level, but in terms of competition, it's the hardest," said Mpurinho on the club's official website.
"In my time there were three teams. Everybody knows between us, [Manchester] United and Arsenal. One of the first position, the other in the second and third position."
"But, now [Manchester] City have a fantastic economic strength that helps them quickly to compete."
"Tottenham also have a nice period with Harry [Redknapp] to reach the top four and playing in the Champions League, and growing. Andre [Villas-Boas] is able to maintain that level and they have conditions to fight for the Premier League title."
"Liverpool, I know Brendan [Rodgers], I knew he could do it. I do not talk much with him on the phone, but I did last year. Projects I know him, his ideas, and what is cool."
"So, there are six teams competing."
